Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 15th August 2011

Crime
Excellent news with no reports of burglary. There was 1 report of vehicle crime that occurred on Heathfield where an insecure vehicle was entered and audio equipment stolen.
 
ASB
It has been very quiet over the last seven days we have only had one call in relation to youths throwing apples at a building on Otley old road. Officers will be patrolling this area to prevent any further incidents.
 
SID has been deployed on the 17th to Adel Lane where 16 vehicles were caught speeding, PC Sabanskis will be returning with the speed gun.
 
Arrests of note
Following the report of a disturbance at the Lawnswood Arms a 28 year old female from Harehills and a 58 year old male have both been arrested for assault, both have received adult cautions.

North West Outer NPT Open Day 10th September 2011

North West Outer NPT are opening its doors at Otley Police Station for our
Open Day on Saturday 10th September 2011 from 11 am to 3 pm.

You are all invited to come along and join in the fun. Please bring your
friends and family.

There will be plenty to do and see, from meeting your local officers to our
partner agencies who are supporting and working alongside us, below are
just some of the activities on offer and best of all , its all FREE.

Volunteers Wanted For A Police Operation

####### Operation Northdale – Volunteers Wanted ######

 

               Friday and Saturday 30 Sept and 1st Oct 2011                

and

Friday and Saturday 7th and 8th Oct 2011

    Horsforth, Otley, Yeadon and Guiseley

 
Operation Northdale is aimed at reducing the risk of people becoming
victims of sexual assault throughout West Yorkshire.  Face to face engagement is a successful way of highlighting key issues and helping to change peoples’ behaviour; and when run previously has had a significant impact on reported offences in these locations.

Do you want to make a difference?
 
Volunteers are needed to assist during the evenings on the above dates. You will work alongside Police Officers and PCSO’s you will need to engage with young people (approx. 18-25 years), assisting in handing out merchandise and providing safety advice regarding excessive drinking. All volunteers will be fully briefed in advance and provided with identification badges and hi-visibility waistcoats. Volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years old and those under 18 years will require parental consent.
