Salt & Grit Bins Update – Adel Woods Estate

Further to previous posts with regard to all grit bins being empty on the estate.  Your association emailed West North West Homes Leeds today and informed us they have left it in the caretaker’s tray asking them to fill up the bins ASAP.

The reason for the delay was they had to call a halt yesterday due to the poor weather conditions and are not able to get to their supply of grit due to the access road to the store being on a hill.

If we can be of any further help with regard to this matter, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Refuse Collection Update

Your association made an enquiry through Cllr Barry Anderson about a missed collection of black bags /wheelie bins not been collected today which was due to poor weather conditions.  Cllr Barry Anderson spoke to Paul Lyons of Streetscene he said they were dealing with things on a day to day basis.

Cllr Anderson was advised by Paul Lyons was to leave the bin out and they will do their best to get it cleared as soon as possible but a lot will depend on what happens with the weather.

We trust this clarifies the situation to date.  Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact either Cllr Barry Anderson or your association.

Additional Salt & Grit Bins in Place

For those who are not aware last week additional salt & grit boxes were delivered to the Adel Woods Estate by WNWHL and at the same time all other boxes were refilled.

We wish to take this opportunity to thank WNWHL for arranging this before the snowfall last Friday.

As and when the bins become empty it would be appreciated if you could let us know and we’ll try to arrange for them to be refilled depending on stock levels.

Many thanks

Missed Refuse Collection Adel Woods and Wayland Approach/Croft Update

In response to the previous post dated 23rd November your association passed on our thanks to Cllr Barry Anderson for his support in getting the black bags/wheelie bins emptied the following day which was greatly appreciated.

This is the response received from Cllr Barry Anderson as follows:

“There is no doubt that the new bin routes and bin days have caused a lot of problems locally. So far with a bit of pressure the refuse collection managers have been able to get things resolved within a reasonable period of time although there have been isolated occasions when they have not been able to get things done within a reasonable period of time. Can residents let me know as soon as their bins have been missed so that I can keep the pressure up on the department and you can receive a quality of service that we all want.”

Thanks

Barry
