Proposed housing developmentFurther to the drop in event that took place on Thursday 30th June – Land south of Dunstarn Lane, Adel, Leeds.

Please find attached a copy of the consultation boards used at the public meeting on Thursday, which were sent to the Neighbourhood Forum and passed to Cllr Barry Anderson.

Also,  enclosed a copy of the Feedback Form they issued to residents who attended in case you would like to download a copy and send it in to Indigo Planning on the address shown at the bottom of the 2nd page by 12th July 2016.

Leeds planning chiefs issue ‘build communities not just houses’ plea to big-name developer

HousingLeeds planning chiefs have thrown down the gauntlet to a major national developer to work with them to create housing which is “more acceptable to communities” – rather than wasting resources and cash on pushing rejected schemes onto neighbourhoods that don’t want them.

Go-ahead for 2,000 homes on Leeds ‘Northern Quadrant’ site

HousingA major 2,000 home development in east Leeds has been given the provisional go-ahead by planning chiefs.

The Northern Quadrant scheme will transform an area of open green fields along parts of the A58 and A64, north of Skelton Lane and to the north and east of Whinmoor.

Leeds City Council’s City Plans Panel last night gave the green light to an outline planning application.

However members set the proviso that the developer must agree to an increased amount of affordable housing on the site – at least 15 per cent rather than the 12 per cent being offered.

U-turn on Leeds 70,000 new houses target?

HousingCOUNCIL bosses in Leeds have launched a major review of their 70,000 new homes target by 2028 – after newly published figures revealed the expected population boom on which it was based will not be as big as first estimated.

The u-turn comes just weeks after Leeds council rubber-stamped a development masterplan laying out where in the city all the planned new houses would be located.
