Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 14th November 2011

Crime
There has been 1 report of burglary in the last week which occurred don Kenworthy Gate, where a rear window was smashed to gain entry. There have been no reports of vehicle crime.

ASB  no incidents to report.

Arrests of note
3 males aged 26 years from Middleton, 18 years from Potternewton and 22
years from Headingley have been arrested for a spate of 6 burglaries on The
Crescent, St Helens Gardens, St Helens Lane, Heathfield, Broomfield and
Oaklands Avenue, all are currently on bail.

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 7th November 2011

Crime
There have been 2 reports of burglary in the last week, these have occurred on Broomfield where a window has been smashed to climb through and laptops stolen, Gainsborough Drive where the door was left insecure, car keys and the car were stolen. Arrests made see below.  There has been no vehicle crime. Due to the increase in burglary officers have been paying extra patrols in the area and have been checking for insecure properties and vehicles and leaving letters at homes in darkness as these are all easy targets, on the 8th PCSO Reardon found 4 houses insecure, 1 of them had car keys in the back of the door, all homeowners made aware.

Please note the new non emergency number, 101, it is quick  to dial and easy to remember.

This SCAM letter was received last week by some Guiseley residents, please
don’t get caught out.

Arrests of note
3 males, aged 27 years from Bury, 22 years from Headingley and 18 years
from Potternewton have been arrested for the above burglary on Gainsborough Drive where the stolen vehicle was found on false plates being driven up the M62, all are on bail

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 24th October 2011

Crime
There has been 2 reports of burglary in the last week which have occurred on Redesdale Gardens, a UPVC panel was kicked in but no entry gained.  An attempt to break into a garage on St Helens Lane, however the alarm was activated. There has been 1 report of vehicle crime on The Drive where equipment was stolen from the back of a van.

ASB
Following on from the robbery that occurred at Bedquilts on Monday, further
reassurance patrols were commenced, on the 26th 2 cars were checked in the car park after officers smelt cannabis, there was evidence of drug use in the car but no drugs. All were moved on. PCSO Salkeld attended a report of fireworks being thrown on Adel Lane, officers made a search but no one could be found.

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 17th October 2011

Crime
There have been no reports of burglary in the last week, there has been 1 report of vehicle crime where tyres were punctured and paintwork scratched along with the wheel trims stolen.

** On Monday evening 5 men were assaulted and had property stolen at Bedquilts, as the area is in total darkness if you have seen any males acting suspiciously near to the area around 8 pm please get in touch **

Other News
On the 22nd PCSO Neilson and Salkeld supported the Adel Wood Gardens Fun Day which was well attended and fun had by all.

SID / Speed gun deployed onAdel Lane where 4 drivers have been spoken with regarding their driving.
