Crime
There have been 3 reports of burglary in the last week which have occurred on Whinfield where a summer house was broken into by removing the door handle, Adel Lane where a crow bar was used on a patio door to gain entry and Farrar Lane where a euro profile lock was attacked to gain entry. There has been no vehicle crime reported.

ASB has remained low , on the 8th a group of youths were causing a nuisance on Adel Lane, PCSO Reardon has been dealing.

SID has not been deployed.

Crime

There have been 3 reports of burglary, these have occurred on Adel Park Gardens, where a rear patio door was entered and 2 on Redesdale Gardens, glass was removed from a window to gain entry then car keys and the car were stolen, the other property had a lower panel of a door removed, however the offenders were disturbed and ran off.

A theft has occurred on York Gate, Back Lane Church, where a small garden society was targeted, property was stolen and the offenders make off, there is possibly CCTV of this offence.

We have only received 2 reports, on th 28th a group of youths were banging on peoples windows and running off on Gainsborough Avenue, the same happened again on the 30th on Long Causeway.

SID has not being deployed over the holiday period.

Crime
A terrible week for Adel with 5 reported burglaries. These have occurred on The Drive where a shed was left insecure. Adel Lane, a rear patio door was forced, Dunstarn Lane, offenders climb onto a flat roof and then smash an upper rear window to gain entry, Dunstarn Lane again where 2 ground floor flats have been broken into, 1 has the patio doors forced and the other was via the communal area into the entrance door.  There has been no vehicle crime recorded.

SID has not being deployed over the last week

Arrests of note
A 25 year old male from Hyde Park has been arrested for a burglary that occurred on Farrar Lane, further enquiries continue.

Terrible news for Adel this week with 6 burglaries being reported. These have occurred on Adel Green which was left insecure. Otley Road, again insecure, a vehicle was also stolen from the same property. Adel Lane where the rear patio doors were forced. Adel Park Gardens where a garden shed door was forced and bikes were stolen. Wayland Drive where a garage was left insecure and a bike stolen. The Drive where a shed door was forced and ladders stolen.

There has also been 1 report of vehicle crime where a car was stolen from
Wayland Croft.

There have been no reports of ASB this week.

SID has been deployed on the 6th to Sir George Martin Drive where 3
motorists were caught speeding.

Crime
Excellent news with no burglaries being reported. There have been 2 reports of vehicle crime this week , New Adel Lane where a pair of secured ladders were stolen from a van and New Adel Avenue where a rear windscreen was
smashed and tools taken, a quick thinking  member of the public who lived close by had seen two males acting suspiciously and reported this to us; officers were deployed to the area and caught two thieves in the act.  They were detained after a short foot chase and have been charged with this crime.  So thank you for being vigilant and long may our working partnership continue.

Other News
On the 5th PCSO Salkeld attended the scouts meeting at Adel Methodist
Church where she provided an input on knife crime and personal safety.

SID
Has not been deployed due to the snow and ice.
