Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 22nd November

Crime
Over the last 7 days there have been 4 burglaries, 2 to properties and 2 to shed/garage. These have occurred on The Drive, where a door was forced, Adel Lane, a rear patio door had the glass panel smashed and offenders climbed in, Mulberry Avenue where the lock was broken off a shed to enter it and on Adel Grange where a garage door was forced to gain entry. There have been no reports of vehicle crime.

With the festive season just around the corner can we all be extra vigilant reporting anything that looks out of the ordinary or suspicious. If you are employing contractors to carry out work on your properties, ensure that if they are sub contracting work out that they are fully aware of whom they are employing, recent checks have highlighted this may not always be the case. Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 15th November

Crime
We have had 3 reported burglaries. The Crescent, where a  van pulled up
outside the house and 2 males attempted to remove a copper boiler from the
open garage, the 2 suspects were stopped and arrested shortly after. The
Drive where property was taken from a shed and greenhouse. and Farrar Lane where a glass panel in a door was smashed.  There have also been 2 reports of  vehicle crime. Farrar Lane where a piece of plant equipment was stolenfrom outside the sheltered housing complex and Gainsborough Drive where a windscreen was smashed.

On the 18th officers attended Wayland Approach as we received reports of
problem parking in the area. Officers will pay further attention to the
area to ensure parking is compliant.

Arrests of note
3 males aged 18, 21 and 44 and all from Bradford were arrested for a
burglary on The Crescent, they were pursued and stopped by police units
shortly after the offence had occurred. Further enquiries continue.
On the 19th a male was found in the area of Adel Cricket Club, he was found
in possession of cannabis and a street caution was given.

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 8th November

Crime
Just 1 burglary has been reported this week on Adel Lane where offenders
have gained entry by the back door and have then attempted to disable the
alarm.  They were then disturbed by one of the occupiers returning home.  A
large quantity of very expensive and distinctive jewellery was taken.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the offenders at this moment in time.
There have been no reports of vehicle crime.

ASB We have no reports from members of the public re nuisance youths in
and around Adel this week.

SID has not been deployed  this week.

Arrests of note
A 47 yr old male from Bradford has been arrested for a burglary on Otley
Road, Adel on the 29/30th October, further enquiries continue.

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 1st November

Crime
There has been only 1 reported burglary being reported on Adel Mead, the
property was left insecure. There has also been 1 report of vehicle crime
on Wayland approach where lighter fuel was used to set a car on fire.

ASB
There has been very little ASB in the last week, we did get a call regards
nuisance motor bikes around the Bedquilts, Tile Lane, Mulberrys area. If
you are suffering from nuisance motor bikes we have a dedicated line
straight through to our nuisance motor bike patrols which is 0113 2395092
or Leeds City Council Parks and wardens on 0113 2329973.

SID has not been deployed this week.

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 25th October

There has been no reported vehicle crime this last week which is excellent news. There has however been 3 reported burglaries, these have occurred on Church Lane where a window was left insecure, Otley Road where a house under restoration was broken into via the rear patio doors and tools removed from inside and the last one on Holt Close where offenders were disturbed by the occupants.

There have again been reports of off road motorbikes being used in the Adel Woods area. If you have issues surrounding the use of off road bikes please report them direct to our Police off road bikes unit on 0113 2395092 or if the problem is within a park , Leeds City Council wardens hot line is 0113 2329972. If officers are out please leave a message and they will return your call.

Good news for Eastmoor, the demolition of the site continues and is nearing completion. There have been no reports of any ASB this week.

Events On the 26th PCSO King attended the Adel Crag Association Residents

Meeting to offer support, raise awareness of crime prevention and update on crime.

Arrests of note

On the 29th officers made an arrest of a local male from Adel Wood Close for a serious assault that occurred in Headingley, on searching the house the remains of a cannabis farm were found. Further enquiries continue.
