David Wilson Homes Planning Appeal – 1st to 10th March

The planning inquiry will be reopened on the 1st March 2011 at Leeds Civic Hall starting at 10am and it is expected that the inquiry may last up to 8 days. You may recall that the planning appeal by David Wilson Homes was for 70 new houses and associated access roads off Holt Avenue which got under way last autumn was subsequently deferred pending further clarification of current government planning policies. The appeal will be decided by an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for the Environment after listening to evidence presented by the Council, David Wilson Homes and also by the Adel Association and other individual contributors. A lot of work has been done by a small group of individuals to ensure the Adel Association case that has been put together on behalf of local residents is as professional as possible so that all of the issues they intend raising are put forward to argue the case for the rejection of the appeal.

The Adel Association would welcome as large an attendance as possible from local residents at the inquiry on 1st March at 10am.
