Good news for Adel this week, very low crime figures reported and no burglary dwellings.

A theft occurred on Kingsley Avenue of some building materials from the driveway. This happened in the morning on 28/03/14 between 10:00-10:10am. It is really important to not leave anything unattended even for a few minutes.

A criminal damage has been reported on Mulberry View where the fence and panels have been damaged.

On Saturday there was an attempted burglary on Gainsborough Drive. Suspects snapped the Europrofile lock barrel to gain entry to a property but were disturbed by an alarm before making off.

A timely reminder to have a look at your locks and see if they meet the requirement of your insurance company.

There was also a break in to a garage overnight from the 5th to the 6th March on Kingsley Drive. Suspects forced the door and searched the garage before making off empty handed.

Theft from Motor Vehicle: 0

Criminal Damage: 4

There has been a recent increase in criminal damages around the Adel area with five being reported in the last week.

On Heathfield a brick was thrown against the window damaging the frame in the early hours of the morning.

New Adel Lane – a car was damaged and the paintwork scratched using an unknown implement.

Gainsborough Avenue – A brick was thrown through the rear window of a vehicle.

Adel Grange Mews – Garden furniture was damaged during the day.

A theft also occurred on Adel Lane where a coat and mobile phone were taken off a fence belonging to a gentleman was working there.

Deployment of the speed indication device and the speed gun along problem areas. Any motorists found to be exceeding the speed limit will be stopped and warned about their speed or sent a warning letter.

A good week for Adel, there have been no reported burglaries or car crime.

Please remember to keep your doors and windows locked and secure and with the dark nights already approaching turning on one light can help deter a burglar.

Adel Neighbourhood Police News – July 2013

Police WomenWe have not had any burglaries reported this week (30th July) in the Adel area.  However, we have had three other crimes reported to us.

Someone has attempted to break into a garage on Adel Lane but had not been successful overnight 22nd to 23rd July.

A gardener working on Dunstarn Lane had his van rifled through and two rucksacks stolen then some gardening tools that were a short distance away were also stolen. This occurred on the 24th July 2013.

And finally we had some metal garden ornaments stolen from an address on The Drive on the 24th July.

The travellers have now left the Bedquilts area, it has been reported that there was some rubbish left at the site but the council were well on hand in clearing this up.
