Adel History Play: Workshop at Adel St John’s School Adel Parish Boundary Walk passes the Quaker Meeting House. It is here that Social Reformer, Isabella Ford, used to come with her family. Isabella Ford is featured in Mick McCann’s book ‘How Leeds Changed the World’.
Year 5 pupils with Miss Dakin are researching Isabella Ford and other interesting characters from Adel’s history. They had a lively workshop afternoon in school with Pat Riley and Val Crompton, ending with dramatic presentations by the groups of their findings. Pupils will be taking part in the Adel History Play to be performed with members of Adel Players in Adel Church at 7.30pm on Fri 22 & Sat 23 June.
