Weekly crime update [NOT PROTECTIVELY MARKED]

Please see below for the past seven days crime in Adel and Wharfedale ward received from PC Karina Ingham;

On the 25th November a vehicle had a window smashed on Otley Road, Adel and a bag was stolen, containing a baby changing mat.

At around 8.30pm 24th November a male wearing a balaclava entered an address on Holtdale Place through an unlocked door. He removed car keys from the worktop and then made off in the homeowners car.

Between the 23-24th November two car batteries were taken from unused cars parked on Station Road, Arthington.

Between the 21-23rd November a quantity of beauty products were taken from a vehicle parked on Rowan Avenue, Adel.

In the early hours of the 22nd November suspects approached a house on Green Lane, Cookridge and tried to hook a set of car keys from within the property that had been left near the door. This alerted the homeowner and the suspects made off without the keys.

On the 21st November suspects attempted to snap the door lock of a house on Moseley Wood Gardens, Cookridge. The door locks remained secure despite the lock snapping and no entry was gained to the home.

During the daytime of the 21st November a suspect approached property on Old Lane, Bramhope and forced entry to the house through a door panel. An iPad was stolen.

Between the 10-20th November a blue badge was stolen from a vehicle on Moseley Wood Avenue, Cookridge.

In the outer north west area of Leeds we have had two Audi S3 vehicles stolen this week, one has since been recovered. Burglars target homes for vehicle keys, it is worth considering a steering wheel or hand brake lock if you have a high value or performance vehicle and to keep keys out of sight.

Many thanks,
