Wrap Up Leeds Scheme
Leeds City Council are currently working with Yorkshire Energy Service to roll out the Wrap Up Leeds Scheme which is offering free loft insulation and/or cavity wall insulation to any property in Leeds which qualifies for a government grant.
Trading Standards Service have made North West Outer NPT aware of a complaint they have received regarding a letter and a ‘cold call’ from a company who stated they were offering the same service. Trading Standards have informed North West Outer NPT that the only approved installers for the scheme are Dyson Energy Services, Homecare Home Improvements and Viscount Environmental Management.
Trading standards have also made North West Outer NPT aware of a separate incident involving an offender purporting to be collecting clothing on behalf of a charity. Enquires revealed that the offender had no links to the genuine charity and was allegedly selling the items for his own profit.

The Force has launched a campaign, which will run from the end of March to the end of September, to encourage everyone to think about their home security, as well as advising the public to ‘lock up or lose out’.
The campaign is titled ‘It Only Takes a Minute’ as it only takes a minute to lock your doors and windows but it is also the same amount of time that it could take a burglar to enter your house and steal your belongings.
Please remember to keep doors and windows locked when in the garden having BBQs, gardening, hanging out the washing, etc.
