Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 21st February

Crime
There have been 5 reports of burglary in the last week these have occurred on Gainsborough Drive where Europrofile locks were attacked, 2 on Kingsley Drive, both where locks have been attacked, Church Lane,  again another Europrofile lock, here a vehicle was also stolen and on Farrar lane where a rear window was prized open.  There have been no reports of vehicle crime. A metal tap has been stolen from the side of a house on The Drive and a garage has also been broken into on Otley Road where food stuffs were stolen.

ASB
We have had no asb reports this week.  Although, we have been notified that vehicles are still venturing onto Tile Lane so we have been patrolling the area frequently.  No one has been seen and there has been nothing to report.  On the 26th several members of the public offered support to officers for their work with SID on Adel Lane, we welcome any residents that wish to take part in the deployment. Chuch Lane and the Mulberry estate were also patrolled, homes that had suffered with ASB previously were also revisited but only 1 was in, they did say however that no further occurrences had happened. Eastmoor was further checked on the 27th but all was quiet.

SID has been deployed on the 26th to Adel Lane where 6 vehicles were noted going above the 30mph speed limit and 2 fixed penalty notices were given for motorists not wearing a seatbelt.

Arrests of note
3 males aged 21, 22, and 23 and from Bramley and Armley have been arrested for the above burglary on Church Lane, they are currently on bail.

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 7th February

Crime
There have been 2 reports of burglary in the last week and both on Church Lane, both have had their euro profile locks attacked by mole grippers to rear doors. There has been no vehicle crime. Due to a recent increase in burglaries extra patrols have been carried out in the area, you may have seen PCSO King out and about on his bike on the 9th where he concentrated on the area around the Lawnswood Arms.

ASB has remained low, at the weekend we held a Special Constables event where they were deployed to our burglary and ASB hot spots. Bedquilts car park was visited on numerous occasions but no disorder was seen.

SID has not been deployed.

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 31st January

Crime 
Crime continues to be low with 1 burglary being reported on Church Lane where a side door has been forced to gain entry. A shed has also been broken into on New Adel Lane. There has been no vehicle crime but a theft of lead has occurred from the roof of St John the Baptist Primary School. Adel Community Centre was also burgled, PCSO King attended and spoke to a 50 strong congregation regards target hardening measures to prevent crime. Some material was given out and he will return to hand out some more.

ASB  there have been no issues.

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 24th January

Crime There have been 2 reports of burglary, 1 a shed on Adel Park Garden where a bike was stolen and the other a house Holt Close / Otley Road (cut through) where offenders have climbed onto a roof and entered via a first floor bedroom. There have been no reports of vehicle crime. PCSO King has been paying extra attention around the Holt Close area due to recent crime, he has visited most houses raising occupants awareness.

ASB There continues to be very little ASB reported in the Adel area. Bedquilts has been patrolled but no issues have been found. Adel Lane has also had extra attention paid to it following recent  crime. On the 30th PCSO King received details of parking issues on Kenworthy Gardens, 1 of the vehicles involved is going to park elsewhere to resolve the issue.

SID has not been deployed.

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 17th January

Crime  There has been 1 report of burglary in the last week, this has occurred on Church Lane where a patio window was damaged to gain entry. There has been no vehicle crime reported, a fence was also damaged on Adel Mead.

ASB  There continues to be very little ASB being reported. On the 18th we received several calls regards youths throwing eggs on Mulberry Rise, 2 youths have been identified and have now been spoken to in front of their parents who have agreed to enforce rules put in place. On the 23rd there was a report of a disturbance on Bedquilts car park, a group were dispersed by police, we will continue to monitor this location.

SID has been deployed on the 22nd to Long Causeway where 15 motorists were found to be travelling in excess of the speed limit and on Sir George Martin Drive, where there was only 1 motorist in excess of the speed limit.
