OPAL (Older People’s Action in the Locality) News for May & June Computer Sessions at home or at OPAL. If members need help mastering computers they can book a one-to-one session for an hour at home or you can come to OPAL Office (on Mon, Tues or Thursday afternoon) and use the computer or bring your own laptop with you. Sessions at the office cost £4. Sessions at home cost £8.
Every 2nd & 4th Thurs of the month, a Coffee Afternoon, Ireland Wood Meeting Point is to be held at St Paul’s Church Hall, Ireland Wood, LS16 6BS. This started in April and will meet on 9th & 23rd May, 2-4pm. All welcome-run by OPAL, St Paul’s Church & Weetwood Councillors in partnership for the community. Like the OPAL Friday Coffee Afternoons at Tinshill LS16 6DX and the Creative Writing Group at Holt Park Library (on the 3rd Monday of the month 2-3.30pm, 20th May) you do not need to be a member of OPAL to come along. Aimed at older people but all ages are welcome.
