The council will be deciding whether to support NGT next Wednesday.

Now is the time to urge councillors to reject this scheme and to get letters sent to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The Music Room Players “THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST”

Music Room Players posterSent on behalf of Pat Riley….I’m attaching a poster for the Music Room Players’ production of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, which will be performed at Almscliffe Hall, Harrogate Road, Huby, LS17 OEG, at 7.30 pm from Thursday-Saturday, 4-6 April.  All the profits from this production will be donated to the LGI children’s cancer charity The Candlelighters (information about this charity is also attached), so please encourage as many of your friends, relatives and workmates as you can to buy tickets and support this venture.  Tickets are £7 and can be reserved by e-mailing me or phoning me on 0113-2300312: pay on the door when you come.

Meeting at Adel Primary School, Tile Lane

Mon March 11th at 7.30pm:   Annual General Meeting

Mon March 25 at 7.30pm: Hoaxes & Frauds as explained by Nicola Down.

Regrettably, Mon 25th March will be our final meeting with Nicola Down talking to us about Hoaxes & Frauds as previously advertised.

There are no plans for any further activities but if the situation changes in the future I’ll let you know.

Adel Neighbourhood Police News – January 2013

Police WomenCRIME STATISTICS 1st to 31st January 2013
Burglary = 7

There has been a burglary on Farrar Lane; the conservatory window has been smashed, once inside a laptop and cash have been stolen, this has happened around 6.45 pm.

There have been 3 burglaries in the same area on the same night, 2 on Kingsley Avenue, these were both attempts as the properties had anti snap handles on the doors and the suspects could not get in, the other burglary was on Gainsborough Drive, a rear window has been smashed and suspects have climbed in, taken the car keys and then the home owner wakes up sees them and shouts. The suspects then make off in the complainants Audi A4.

The Cresent, jemmy a frame on a patio door to gain entry, laptop stolen, arrest made.

Otterburn Gardens, a shed lock was damaged to get in and various items stolen.

Woodstock Close, lock on garage forced with tool to get in, 2 bikes stolen.  Continue reading
