Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 7th November 2011

Crime
There have been 2 reports of burglary in the last week, these have occurred on Broomfield where a window has been smashed to climb through and laptops stolen, Gainsborough Drive where the door was left insecure, car keys and the car were stolen. Arrests made see below.  There has been no vehicle crime. Due to the increase in burglary officers have been paying extra patrols in the area and have been checking for insecure properties and vehicles and leaving letters at homes in darkness as these are all easy targets, on the 8th PCSO Reardon found 4 houses insecure, 1 of them had car keys in the back of the door, all homeowners made aware.

Please note the new non emergency number, 101, it is quick  to dial and easy to remember.

This SCAM letter was received last week by some Guiseley residents, please
don’t get caught out.

ASB no incidents of note to report.

Arrests of note
3 males, aged 27 years from Bury, 22 years from Headingley and 18 years
from Potternewton have been arrested for the above burglary on Gainsborough Drive where the stolen vehicle was found on false plates being driven up the M62, all are on bail

December 2011    January 2012   February 2012

The service will resume with fortnightly collections in March 2012
