There have been 3 reports of burglary in the last week, these have occurred on Kingsley Avenue, Otley Road and The Crescent, all where euro profile locks have been attacked. There has been no vehicle crime. A 21 year old male from Ireland Wood was caught with cannabis on Bequilts, he received a street caution, 3 vehicles and 8 other persons were searched but all negative.

ASB There has been 2 reports in the last week of ASB, Wayland Drive where it was thought that youths were setting a tree on fire, upon police arrival it was determined that they were having a bbq, the youths were advised regards drinking in a public place and clearing up after themselves. The other was on Tile Lane, but no youths were present upon police arrival. Although Tile Lane is no longer a pact priority it is still regularly patrolled and we have not picked up on any issues of late. Adel Wood Close has also been revisited by PCSO King regarding a previously reported ASB issue, this is now resolved.

Neighbourhood Police Update W/c 21 March

Crime
There have been 4 reports of burglary in the last week. These have occurred on Adel Wood Close where offenders have claimed to be there to sort out problems with the water pressure. . Holt Walk where the offenders gained entry through a faulty patio door, the occupant was asleep in the living room and woke up and disturbed them, Wayland Drive which was insecure, Tile Lane where a flat roof was climbed onto and a window was forced to gain entry. There has been no reports of vehicle crime.

There have been a number of reports of bogus burglaries nearby where
offenders have said they were there to check the water pressure . We urge people not to grant anybody access to their property without making an appointment and ensuring they have a valid identity card with them. Genuine callers will not mind occupants of houses checking their validity.

ASB Patrols continue around  Lawnswood Cemetery, but we have had no further reports of damage.

SID  has been deployed on Adel Lane on the 21st, there were 8 car found to be speeding.

Arrests of note
2 males, aged 19 from Holt Park and aged 19  from the Hawksworth estate have been arrested for various offences including a burglary on Wayland Drive and Holt Walk, both have been charged and remanded.
